Pottery with children?

Today, the television show () Reading Rainbow, the Indians made pottery. We have clay in our backyard (you can form a ball with the ground, it is so filled with clay). Do you think I have something to add for making pottery with her? How can I be fired without oven? I went to the site that you (second voice related) and it was all ads.

You can not fire clay from your garden without an oven - at least not successfully. Even if you have an oven you must test your clay to make sure it has desirable properties. Being able to make a ball with your soil does not necessarily mean clay content is sufficiently high to make pots useful and you will also need to determine the temperature at which clay becomes difficult (sinters). Look for Play-doh if you want an activity with your children that you can cook in your oven. Or buy Bake clay oven. This is not for food. If you want to take a pottery class in a workshop or a ceramic art center.
